Peymeinade
Peymeinade is a small peaceful town, which has undergone considerable post-war expansion. The oldest part of the village comprises some pretty 18th century houses grouped around the church, a beautiful round 19th century fountain adorned with lions’ heads, and even a library with a ceiling painted in 1882 by the “Compagnons du Tour de France” craft guilds.
Molinard
The Maison Molinard was founded in 1849 in Grasse, Provence, in the south of France, cradle of the world’s perfume industry. It has remained an entirely family-run business to this day, and is also the oldest of its kind. At that time, Molinard produced floral waters and Eaux de Cologne, which it sold in its “little shop” in the town centre.
Mougins
Mougins is located on the heights of Cannes, in the district of Grasse. Mougins is a 15-minute drive from Cannes. The village is surrounded by forests, such as the Valmasque forest. In the village there are pines, olives, and Cyprus trees.
Saint-Paul-de-Vence
Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France. One of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, it is well known for its modern and contemporary art museums and galleries such as Fondation Maeght which is located nearby
Tourrettes
Tourrettes is one of a series of “perched villages” overlooking the plain between the southern Alps and the Esterel massif, which borders the sea between Cannes and Saint-Raphaël. Tourrettes is a charming old Provençal village popular with tourists. The village is located on the road to Mons, which later on joins the Route Napoléon (linking Nice to Grenoble through the Alps).
Valbonne
Valbonne is a very beautiful little old town, built in a peaceful valley bursting with Mediterranean vegetation. It is well known for it’s weekly market.
Nice
Nice is the fifth most populous city in France and the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes département. The urban area of Nice extends beyond the administrative city limits, with a population of about 1 million people. Known for it’s beautiful beach, it is approximately a 40 minute drive from the villa.
Cannes
Cannes is located 20 minutes south of the villa. It is a commune of France located in the Alpes-Maritimes department, and host city of the annual Cannes Film Festival, Midem, and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The city is known for its association with the rich and famous, its luxury hotels and restaurants, and for several conferences and trade shows.
Antibes
Antibes is a short 35 minute drive from the villa. During the summer, the place is packed, primarily with French families. In the evenings, everyone is out at the many outdoor restaurants in the old part of Antibes and in Juan les Pins. A fun place for a relaxed vacation.
Èze
Èze, renowned tourist site on the French Riviera, is famous worldwide for the view of the sea from its hill top. Its Jardin botanique d’Èze is known for its collection of cacti and succulents, as well as its panoramic views. Walt Disney spent a significant amount of time in Èze. Èze is approximately 50 minutes from the villa.
Chateau Berne
Chateau Berne Is an exceptional vineyard a couple hours drive from the villa. As early as Roman times, grapes were being grown on the lands of the Château de Berne.
Provence – renowned throughout the world for its rosés – is also the cradle of great wines. The Domaine du Château de Berne, which has been cultivating grape vines for almost three centuries, invites you on an elegant journey to the heart of Côtes de Provence.
Monte Carlo / Monaco
Monte Carlo is situated on a prominent escarpment at the base of the Maritime Alps along the French Riviera and is about a 1 hour drive from the villa. Near the western end of the quarter is the world-famous Place du Casino, the gambling center which has made Monte Carlo “an international byword for the extravagant display and reckless dispersal of wealth”. It is also the location of the Hôtel de Paris, the Café de Paris, and the Salle Garnier (the casino theatre which is the home of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo).
Portofino
Portofino is an Italian fishing village and vacation resort famous for its picturesque harbour and historical association with celebrity and artistic visitors.It is a comune located in the Metropolitan City of Genoa on the Italian Riviera. The town is clustered around its small harbour, and is known for the colourfully painted buildings that line the shore. Portofino is a picturesque 3 hour drive along the French and Italian Riviera.
